VIRGO FOUNDATION is founded by MRS. POORNIMA KUMAR, the Founder & CEO of Virgo Group of Companies initiated in 1992 as an outreach program to lend a helping hand to the needy and under privileged women of Ashok Nagar and its neighborhood to improve their livelihood.
The Foundation was Inaugurated by senior artiste Mrs. Satya Priya on the 23rd of July at the Zodiac Club, Ashok Nagar. 3 sewing machines and a Wet Grinder were donated to deserving women.
VIRGO FOUNDATION intends to impart SKILL TRAINING in Baking, Cooking, Beauty, Sewing & Embroidery etc. to empower needy women to be financially independent . A financially strong woman will bring up a happy family. A happy family will definitely contribute to the betterment of our society in the long run.
VIRGO FOUNDATION also MICROFINANNCEs small business up to Rs.5000 to Rs.10,000 for women vendors to start their own flower /vegetable/ food business INTEREST FREE so that she does her business without the tension of paying high interest rates.
The intention of the Foundation is to provide women with an entrepreurnal Ladder to climb using the skills taught…how far they will climb is solely left to their dedication, hard work and destiny.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION

- Micro financing small businesses for women to become entrepreneurs.
- Lend a helping hand to women to have the power to control their own lives
